The Gatsby by Longchamp
Back to Summer!! This bag by Longchamp is perfect for the warmer weather, the colors are light and airy. The citrine is special edition, and normally I'm not into neon colors, but this is very tasteful...nice work Longchamp!!

Christian Louboutin Fall 2010
These shoes are great for fall- I don't really want to think about that time of year just yet considering today was the first day of Spring, but I just can't turn away from a beautiful shoe!! The price- well, let's not talk about it..but just appreciate the craftsmanship and red soles :)

Italian Sunset
Just wanted to share these beautiful images of a sunset in Carlo Forte, Italy off the coast of the island of Sardinia. It is truly one of my favorite places to go in the summer...and you can actually see stars at night!! It is just a gorgeous place whose beaches are still relatively uncommercialized. A true gem of the Mediterranean!
Happy Sunday!!
Lake Mead
On our way to the Hoover Dam, we noticed the most majestic scene- a tourquoise body of water in the middle of moutains and desert! It turned out to be Lake Mead, the largest man-made lake in the United States. Isn't it absolutely beautiful, and so unexpected?
The last picture is of the fish in the lake, they were quite aggressive and actually stuck their mouths out of the water anytime they saw people walking by and would open their mouths! We assumed that people generally feed them, and that was their expectation- a little dose of human food! Can't blame them can we?
If you ever get to go, you should eat at the Harbor House. We were lucky enough to eat there when we went, it's right on the water, and the food is affordable. We had the Yeoman's Burger on rye, it was yummy!

The Secret...what is it, what is it??
Do you think "The Secret" actually works? The premise is the Law of Attraction..simply put, like attracts like. Whatever you think about, good or bad, is what you bring into your life. If you think about negativity, alas, you will only encounter more and the same is true for positive thoughts.
So, I say, try it out. Try changing the way you think, and see what happens. I was told that words are extremely powerful, so watch what you say!!
And remember, be careful what you wish for because you just might get it!! Pick you your copy here.
Beverly Hills...that's where I wanna be
Thank you Weezer for that song! Beverly Hills is where I wanna be too!! I have been there at least 6 times over the last few years, and really do enjoy my time there. Everything is more laid back, the weather is pleasant, and the palm trees just can't help but put a smile on your face. California is my favorite place to visit for a quick and restful trip. There is so much to see, between all the beaches and vineyards. The agriculture is very different from that of the East Coast, and don't forget that there is a lot of farmland out there! A lot of our produce (fruits especially) come from California, so don't hate on it!

My Favorite Men's Watch
I had to throw the men out there something too- this is my favorite men's watch. This watch just screams macho when I look at it. It is from the De Ville collection by Omega (with co-axial movement), another excellent watch maker. For the special man in your life, this would make an excellent gift.
Hottest Way to Tell Time
This watch is so hot!! Cartier is one of the best watch makers in the world. If you're going to do, might as well do it right!! This is from the La Dona collection, and it is absolutely on the top of my wish list, along with the shoes ;)
LOVING these shoes right now
I am so into these shoes right!! What do you think? They look so hot, pictured below is the "purple" version. I definitely like the black too, which is always the most versatile, my go to color. I like how these have a hidden platform and the heel looks moderately stable. Can they please, please go on sale!! Thanks!!

Hoover Dam
You are here!!
One of the coolest things I saw while in Vegas was the Hoover Dam on the Nevada/Arizona border. Can you believe that human beings created this? It is absolutely amazing what people can do when they come together for a common goal. I highly reccommend checking this out if you have the time while in Vegas. Take a tour!!
P.S. did you know that there is enough concrete in the Hoover Dam to build a highway from San Francisco to New York??
Breath-taking view from above

_____________________________________________
Hello All!
Have any of you ever been to Vegas? Would someone like to enlighten me on what all the hype is about? I have never been somewhere that almost has nothing to offer culturally. The entire town revolves around decadence, and I guess if that's what you're about, this is most definitely the place for you. My advice is, if you plan on going, go Thursday-Sunday. You most likely will not be able to stay longer than that without getting sick or suffering from extreme exhaustion.
Another thing I need to point out- if you are the type who likes to dine later in the evening, watch out as most restaurants close their kitchens by 10:30. The only place we were able to eat at after 11 was TAO, their kitchen closed at 11:45pm. Where I come from, there are legitamate eateries open in the wee hours of the night. I guess that's why Jay-Z says "the city never sleeps, better slip you an Ambien." Thank you New York, you have officially spoiled me for life!
One thing I have to give kudos to is the show Le Reve and the Wynn. It was reminiscent of Cirque du Soleil, except that there was the addition of sychronized swimming in the middle of the stage. Another great thing about this show was that you were not sitting too far from the stage, and you could see perfectly. Just fyi- the cheaper tickets actually seat you closer to the stage because there is a high probability that you are going to get wet from the acrobatics performed in the water.
The Stage at Le Reve
As far as nightlife goes- Pure was closed the night we wanted to go (yeah, I said CLOSED). TAO had a private party, and every other place just didn't seem happening. I guess you can call me a jaded New Yorker who has seen and done it all.
Before you go I really reccommend you watch The Hangover- awesome movie. We did the same thing, drove from LA to Vegas throgh the Mojave Desert. They aren't kidding when they say desert. There is nothing around you for about 300 miles, and then BAM out of nowhere, Vegas appears!
